The Boselli Foundation has adopted John E Ford Elementary for the upcoming school year. Our desire is to provide the school with support in reaching their academic goals for the year. The school is considered a Title 1 school, with a majority of students living below the poverty line. Many students require assistance beyond what they receive in the classroom to be successful academically. We are working with school administration to create a tutoring program, during the school day, for struggling students.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to lead small group tutoring sessions for grades 3-5. Volunteers are asked to select a 60-minute time slot between the hours of 9-11 am and 1-2 pm, one day a week. Ideally, we would like volunteers to commit to a minimum of 12 weeks, but this can be adjusted if need be.
An online background check and a brief training is required before volunteers begin. If this is an opportunity you'd like to participate in, please click on the link below to get started.
The gift of your time will make a tremendous difference in the lives of the kids at John E Ford!
Shop with a Jock is The Boselli Foundation's annual Christmas program that provides students with the opportunity to purchase Chrismas gifts for their family. Students earn money by completing various service, academic, and character-based projects, with a focus on giving to others. Sponsors, jocks, and students enjoy dinner together before venturing into Target to shop for presents. At the end of the evening, volunteers wrap the gifts students purchase. The evening is a wonderful experience for all who participate.
We need volunteers to serve dinner, shop with the kids, and wrap the gifts they purchase. If you'd like to volunteer at this year's event on December 6th, please sign up using the link below.
